A bowl of Tomato Bisque. A plate of Puttanesca. A glass of Houseblend Tea. And a slice of refined tranquility. That’s my lunch.
I decided to taste the old dishes since I’m a person who loves trying out what I considered as ‘timeless’ recipes. Complimentary Walnut Batarde with butter was served first. I can say that this homemade bread was the highlight of the day. Guests were giving positive feedback regarding the taste and texture of this special treat. It does taste good. Tomato bisque comes just right on time. Made of tomato, of course, and basil finished with a dollop of cream…take it while it’s hot. I actually hate tomato soups and tomato juices but this one is worth trying. Their pasta puttanesca was made by a pleasant combination of anchovy, capers and olives in a fresh tomato and garlic sauté topped with grilled tuna coated with pepper, asparagus and cheese. I loved the medium rare tuna which I actually had mistaken for beef when I first looked at my plate. And the house blend iced tea, is a perfect taste of a tea with a lemon twist.
All in all, the food experience was terrific. Good food, amiable staff and a sociable chef all together in the newly improved dining haven.
Other must-try foodies are Al Vongole and flourless chocolate cake. Al Vongole is their new addition of pasta made of fresh clams in a white wine butter sauce. While flourless chocolate cake is a piece of sweet dessert considered as C3’s all-time favorite. Try out their new additions and experience progressive continental cuisine at its finest. Visit C3 EventsResto at Missouri St., Greenhills.
