This is a short list of the best places to go when you want to do the following activities this summer season:

Spelunking.

Spelunking or cave exploration is an activity fast gaining grounds. A wide variety of cave architectures, rock formations and challenging routes await adventure trippers.

Where to go: Caves of Sagada in Mountain Province, Callao cave in Tugegarao, caves in St. Paul Natural Park and Tabon Cave in Palawan.

White Water Rafting.

Popularly known as rafting, it is a recreational activity that utilizes a raft to navigate a river or other bodies of water. It is an extreme activity that crosses danger limits because of the routes of rough water to conquer.

Where to go: Mambuaya River (Cagayan de Oro) and Tamugan (Davao City)

Windsurfing.

The activity combines aspects of sailing and surfing with other aspects of board sports to overcome the wind and the screaming waters.

Where to go: Amampulo, Pamilacan Island and Boracay Island (Aklan)

SCUBA Diving.

Short for Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus, SCUBA Diving is swimming underwater while using self-contained breathing equipment. World-famous diver Jacques-Yves Cousteau explored the underwater sites of the Philippines, particularly Palawan.

Where to go: Puerto Galera (Oriental Mindoro); Cabilao Island and Balicasag Island (Bohol); Apo Island (Negros Oriental); Malapascua, Mactan Island, Pescador Island and Olango Island (Cebu); Tubbataha Reef National Park (Palawan); Sarangani Bay; Anilao (Batangas)

Surfing.

Surfing is a surface water sport in which the participant is carried by a breaking wave using a surfboard to the shore. Take off on hardwood and pull off big time wave tricks in no time.

Where to go: Siargao (Surigao)
