A very amicable tandem of a mother and daughter arrived in the entrance of C3 EventsResto to sit down with us. I was expecting actually for a young yet mature looking lady but as the way I see it, it's the other way around. A woman caught in a body of a young girl. To be honest, she reminds me of Charlotte Church. Every person who will bump into her would be very surprised to learn that she's into an exceptional type of music. Classical, operas and kundiman, that is.
Her mother shared with us the fact that she used to expose her to the tranquil refrains of classical music when she was still inside her womb. Another believer of the research over the past 25 years proving the connection of classical music and overall increased intelligence, brain function, creativity and health. A home-based student of Living Heritage Academy in Paranaque, Fame finds a way to integrate schoolwork with her busy career schedule.
Discovering her talent was an upshot of mere curiosity when she listened to Kundiman music. Hearing the pleasing sound of Kundiman which is not far from the opera songs, Fame easily appreciated the said music. Even if she listens to other genre, she still ends up singing classical songs. It is her own way of promoting our national musical heritage and expressing her ideals and patriotism. It is very inspiring to meet music artists who are here in the industry not only for fame but because of passion. Considering that their craft could be a tool to inspire others and help the Philippine music industry to recuperate.
She nurtured her natural talent by attending trainings, workshops like piano lessons, violin lessons, classical voice lessons, star consciousness seminars and voice lesson for stage or musicals. These helped and honed her into a more disciplined person striving for the utmost perfection of musical technique and emotion.
Now she's being considered as one of the youngest and most promising classical singers today. She had a year ender concert last December 31, 2006 at Luneta Park, Open-Air Auditorium. She also played the character of ‘Luisa' in Sound of Music which was held in Greenbelt, On-Stage. She was also one of the casts of High School Musical, which was held at SM Megamall Theater, Cinema 4.
Aside from live performances, Fame also sings at 104.3 FM every Sundays at 7:30pm, 10.63 AM at 10:30am and 12.42 AM at 7:30pm. Comments
